In Gaza, childhood is under threat. IDRF is still protecting it. Against all odds.

Schools have been damaged or destroyed, families displaced again and again, and hundreds of thousands of children pulled out of learning to help their households survive.

IDRF has been on the ground throughout, transporting clean water to displaced families every day and delivering food to households struggling to find enough to eat.

Every Child Counts builds on that foundation. It meets children’s most basic needs first, then brings them back to safe spaces where they can learn, recover, and feel like children again. When a child has even one safe, steady place to return to each day, the effect reaches beyond that child. Parents gain a few hours to rebuild what they can, siblings see school as something worth waiting for again, and a community that has lost so much starts to dream of a new future.

Rather than funding one child or one need, your sponsorship joins a pooled fund that delivers the same comprehensive care to every child in the Gaza program. Four pillars, one standard of care.

Nutrition

Breakfast provided to students, so children start the day able to focus and learn.

Water & Sanitation (WASH)

Clean water provided in learning spaces, plus sanitation facilities installed and rehabilitated to give children safe, dignified hygiene.

Quality Education

Safe learning spaces that gather displaced children in a protected environment and restore routine amid crisis. Play-based learning rebuilds literacy, numeracy, and confidence while formal schooling remains limited, with structured life-skills activities for older children and a dedicated space for the youngest, ages 5 and 6.

Comprehensive Healthcare

Vaccinations, check-ups, and treatment access for every child enrolled in the program.
