Position Summary:

L2L is seeking a strategic, driven, and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to lead our fundraising efforts and accelerate organizational growth. Reporting directly to the L2L leadership team, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, securing, and stewarding revenue-generating opportunities across corporate sponsorships, foundations, government grants, and individual giving. This role is essential to expanding L2L’s impact and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with L2L’s mission and growth goals.
  • Research, identify, and secure new funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and government partners.
  • Lead grant writing and reporting processes in collaboration with program and finance teams.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects and donors using CRM tools to track and manage relationships effectively.

Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and steward strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and strategic partners.
  • Represent L2L in meetings and networking events to increase visibility and develop partnerships.
  • Coordinate and support donor engagement activities, campaigns, and events.

 

Revenue Growth & Impact

  • Set and track ambitious fundraising targets, with a focus on growing unrestricted and multi-year revenue.
  • Develop compelling pitch materials, impact reports, and donor communications.

 

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with the communications team to align fundraising campaigns with brand and storytelling efforts.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budget development, and annual reporting.
  • Champion L2L’s mission and values in all internal and external engagements.

Qualifications & Competencies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, business development, or partnership management, preferably in the nonprofit or education sector.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts, grants, or sponsorships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a growing organization.
  • A passion for youth development, education, and equity.
