Guyana Flood Appeal

Since mid-May, severe floods have hit Guyana and impacted more than 6,900 households across the country.

The Situation in Guyana

In regions across the country, floods have submerged roads and buildings and damaged crops, livestock and vehicles. Residents have fled their homes, leaving many communities displaced and lacking essential items. The current conditions will exacerbate a health system that is responding to increased patient needs due to COVID-19. There is an urgent need for humanitarian assistance, with an emphasis on food, water and temporary shelter.
