Karachi Flood Relief
Continuous rain has caused massive flooding in the Karachi area. IDRF is providing food and hygiene kits to those affected.
The Situation
The most affected people have lost their homes, livelihoods and need immediate assistance in the form of food distributions as well as essential hygiene items that will keep them healthy and prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as COVID-19.
Flooding in both countries has caused widespread population displacements with urgent humanitarian aid required in the areas of food, water, sanitation and hygiene services, and temporary shelter support.
How you can help
In response, IDRF will be delivering food and hygiene items to those most affected. $75 will provide the most vulnerable with essential hygiene items, as well as enough food to last for one month. As IDRF is currently providing emergency hygiene and food supplies, we are assessing the needs for rehabilitation of shelter and sanitation in the slums of Karachi, Pakistan.
