Ongoing conflict, economic turmoil, and erratic weather have wreaked havoc, leaving millions on the brink of starvation in Sudan.
The escalating violence has destroyed livelihoods. More than 10 million are internally displaced, and nearly 2.3 million have fled to neighbouring countries since April 2023. The fighting has destroyed critical infrastructure, disrupted agricultural activities, and pushed malnutrition rates to alarming levels.
Farmers in conflict zones face daily threats to their safety, unable to access fields or grow crops. With fewer cultivated areas and shrinking harvests, the food supply is rapidly diminishing.
IDRF is working on the ground to provide affected families with tents and food parcels.
IDRF is providing food parcels to families, enough to sustain them for at least one month. Each parcel contains essentials like corn flour (10 kg), wheat flour (10 kg), sugar (5 kg), cooking oil (4.25 Lt), lentils (2 kg), rice (3 kg), dates (1 kg), milk Powder (0.4 kg), juice powder (0.5 kg), and penguin pea (3 kg).
