Two years of resilience:
With Gaza
Two years after Gaza’s devastation began, over 70,000 people have been killed, and entire neighbourhoods, schools, and hospitals destroyed.
Despite famine, displacement, and siege, families endure with courage and faith. With your support, IDRF has delivered food, clean water, medical care, shelter, and psychosocial aid to thousands.
Our teams continue navigating bombed roads to reach those in desperate need. Every truck that enters Gaza is more than relief—it is a message of hope and solidarity, ensuring that the people of Gaza know they are not forgotten and that help continues to reach them.

Food assistance has been a key pillar of our emergency response programs over the past two years. Since the start of the crisis, delivering food assistance in Gaza has been a constant challenge as access restrictions and aid blockades have pushed the population into famine.
Despite these obstacles, IDRF has remained on the ground, ensuring families received life-saving support through fresh food parcels, food vouchers, hot meals, and non-perishable packages.
Over the past 17 months, IDRF’s food security response on average has included:
2,500
non-perishable and fresh food parcels each week
5,000
hot meals prepared and distributed daily
500
food vouchers distributed monthly
Today, IDRF continues to scale its efforts, providing more than 1,000 food parcels per week, with plans to expand distributions further in the weeks ahead.

Only 1 in 10 Gazans currently have access to safe drinking water.
Access to clean, safe drinking water in Gaza has collapsed. With over 95% of water supplies deemed unfit for human use, families are forced to survive on contaminated sources or trucked-in aid. What was once a necessity has become a daily battle for life.
Since the start of the crisis, IDRF has worked daily to ensure families have access to clean drinking water. Through our water desalination plant, safe water is produced and then trucked across the Gaza Strip to reach families, hospitals, and schools (many serving as shelters). In addition, IDRF has supplied fuel to water wells in northern Gaza, helping to restore water access in some of the hardest-hit areas.

For the past two years, IDRF has been working across the Gaza Strip to support thousands of children who have lost, or been separated from, their parents and families. New mothers, many without access to even the most basic support, have been among the most vulnerable.
Through our programs, we have provided immediate relief: hot meals, psychosocial care, clean water, hygiene kits, and medical services. Recognizing the specific needs of women and children, we have distributed dignity kits for women, baby kits containing food, diapers, and wipes, and menstrual hygiene products to restore dignity and meet urgent needs.
Our psychosocial program has been active since the very beginning of the crisis, offering eight sessions every month and reaching over 100,000 children to date. At the same time, we have created safe spaces for children, offering regular games and activities as well as classes in Math, Arabic, and Science. These programs ensure that even in the midst of a crisis, children continue to learn, grow, and hold on to the hope of a brighter future.

In response to the healthcare crisis in Gaza, IDRF has established medical clinics to support families with essential care, emergency treatment, and ongoing health services.
Over the past year, IDRF has established medical clinics in Gaza using 7.5m x 9m medical tents, designed with wooden-framed doors, reinforced plastic sheets, locks for security, and fabric covers to reduce heat. Each site is equipped with large-capacity water tanks (3,000L and 500L) to ensure a reliable supply of clean water, alongside sanitation facilities with durable latrine units built from galvanized roofing sheets.
These clinics have been providing a wide range of primary healthcare services, including general medication, pharmacy access, physical checkups, pediatric care, and maternity support.
Every day, hundreds of patients receive treatment and referrals at no cost, ensuring that thousands of lives continue to be protected despite the ongoing crisis.
Support for Women and Children
Our response in Gaza also includes targeted support for women and children, like baby kits, women’s dignity kits, and psychosocial support for children.
