In Gaza, water is being denied.
We’re still delivering it.
Against all odds.
Since the end of the fragile ceasefire in March 2025, Gaza has remained under siege. After more than 21 months of Israeli bombardment and blockade, families are facing the collapse of daily life.
Over 90% of the population has been forcibly displaced, now sheltering in overcrowded camps without clean water, sanitation, or access to medical care.
Israel’s military assault has decimated Gaza’s water networks. Bombs have destroyed pipelines. The blockade has choked off fuel needed to operate water treatment plants. Sewage flows through the streets. Waterborne diseases are spreading fast, especially among children.
This is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is the systematic destruction of the systems people need to survive.
Despite extreme challenges and restricted humanitarian access, IDRF is on the ground, delivering over 200,000 litres of clean water every day. Your support keeps this response going.
Our emergency clean water response includes:
Daily delivery of 200,000+ litres of clean water across Gaza, with the help of our desalination plant, jerry cans, wells, and water trucks to reach displaced families — helping to prevent the spread of disease

Deliver life-saving water across Gaza
In Gaza, access to clean water remains one of the most urgent and essential needs.
Through locally-led solutions like desalination, delivery trucks, and jerry cans, IDRF is helping families access safe water, protect their health, and live with dignity

Desalination Plant
Seawater is filtered and purified at the desalination plant, turning it into clean, drinkable water. This is the critical first step in providing safe water to communities across Gaza.
Water Trucks (10,000L Capacity)
Once purified, the clean water is loaded into high-capacity trucks. These trucks are essential for transporting large volumes of water from the plant to areas in need.
Jerry Cans for Families
Clean water is delivered directly to families, often in jerry cans provided by the response teams. These containers ensure households without proper storage can safely transport and store clean water.

Water Desalination Plant
Our plant converts contaminated or saltwater into clean, drinkable water every single day, producing 230,000 litres of fresh water. Families can collect water directly, or it is delivered to them.
Water Trucks
We operate trucks with 10,000-litre capacity, delivering clean water from the plant to displacement camps across Gaza.
Jerry Cans
Water is also distributed in jerry cans for families without containers or access to water points. These are a critical tool for portability and dignity.
