A Life of Generosity and Compassion

Khalid Usman was full of life and devoted much of it to serving others. His generosity and compassion touched everyone around him, and those qualities are exactly what his family now hopes to carry forward.

Rather than hold a memorial service, his family chose to do something that would keep benefiting people in his name. They felt there was no more fitting way to honour him than by continuing the generosity and kindness that defined his life.

Building Wells in Khalid's Home Region

This initiative supports IDRF’s Water Well Projects, which develops sustainable, cost-effective solutions to water scarcity across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) region of Pakistan, the region Khalid came from and stayed connected to throughout his life.

The project installs handpumps and tube wells for families and communities so clean drinking water is available close to home. Water tanks are also placed at schools, so children can drink safely while they learn.

Every well built through this page is dedicated to Khalid’s memory, so his community’s generosity reaches families who need it most.
