Pathways to a Career in Insurance
In collaboration with The United Way Greater Toronto, The Center for Young Black Professionals, Zurich Canada, and Marsh Canada, IDRF is bringing BACK its successful Career Pathways in Insurance and Finance program. This initiative trains young women ages 18-29 that are either unemployed or underemployed to work in the finance and insurance industries, launch successful careers and connect with other emerging professionals.
The program comprises a 11-week training that provides exposure to industry experts and technical and soft skills training. Selected applicants will receive a stipend throughout the training. The 11-week training is followed up with a 12-week paid internship in the insurance industry. Financial support for cost of living expenses (Transit, housing, food security) is provided.
Women applying to this program must be residents of the City of Toronto (this includes Scarborough and Etobicoke), York Region or Peel Region.
