Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, I am a Toronto based Kids Craft Artist, teacher and occasional baker. I am a mom of two very energetic boys (ages 8 and 4) who keep me on my toes with their endless questions and requests for snacks.
During a hiatus from my corporate job to care for my two young children, I discovered my crafty side, and I decided to turn to social media to share my ideas with other like-minded folks. I now run an Instagram page called The Craft and Cake Shoppe where you’ll find lots of inspiration for kid friendly crafts, activities and experiments. You’ll often find me advocating for encouraging children to craft and talking about its many benefits. You’ll also see me share snippets of my daily shenanigans with my family and the newest craft projects that I am working on.
Last year my crafting hobby turned into a side hustle and I began teaching Kids Craft workshops virtually. I now run workshops periodically for kids aged 4 – 10 independently and in collaboration with Art Galleries and studios in the GTA. I hope this is just the beginning of my crafting journey and can’t wait to see how life unfolds.
