The Palestinian Information Medical Center reports close to 5,000 students being diagnosed with visual impairments. IDRF is providing children with certified optometry assessments and a pair of prescription eyeglasses for those diagnosed.

Early detection of eyesight problems is crucial to preventing vision loss and improving the overall health and well-being of individuals.

Poor and low-income households are unable to access certified optometry assessments for their children.

Many eye-related conditions only tend to worsen over time due to age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
